After many experiments over 2 nights, I started to settle on the idea of a silhouetted, frozen foreground to provide some focus for the illuminated, movement-feeling of the background.
Artistically, I have always found transportation hubs (bus, train, plane) very liberating and exciting. That's my version of safety: the feeling that you can go anywhere from here.
I had to frame the shot, pose the model, then wait for a bus to oblige by driving by. The tilt of the angle is intentional, adding to the unsteady, heady feeling of the potential.
